Hit The Road Jack!

The indoor blahs are about to come to a screeching halt! It’s time to get off that treadmill going nowhere fast and hit the streets. The change in scenery is going to do wonders for your psyche and rev up your cardio burn. I ran across a few tools that will help you get moving outside again.
If walking is your thing, Walk Score allows you to assess environments for their ease of use. Type in the address of the location you want to score and get a rating for its walkability. This tool is also a great way to scout out feasible walking paths when you are out of town on business.
Want to keep track of how much you run or walk? Here’s an online tool that will let you track and log your miles. This mashup site called Runningmap.com allows users to create running routes by clicking on a Yahoo! map along a particular path. The site–which offers map, satellite and hybrid viewing options–will give the path’s distance and elevation.
Happy trails to you!
Enjoy
