For some reason, I’m sitting here at 11:00am thinking about drinking wine…

With all that time on my hands yesterday during hurricane Irene…
I finally tried a recipe I got from my friend, Monica Queen. We both competed in the OCB Eastern Regionals this past April.
Since then, I have been a huge fan of all her clean recipes. Monica says this recipe will make you never want to eat a Starbucks muffin again–and I agree!

As Hurricane Irene gets closer to the east coast…
It reminded me of 1992, as a military dependent stationed in Guam USA, where we prepared for frequent typhoons. I actually went through 3 super typhoons, which are storms with winds over 150 miles per hour! Here we would call these a category 4 or 5 hurricanes. These storms usually bring lots of rain and the inevitable loss of power.
